Basket making is weaving together materials and time. There are not many things I enjoy more than going into my studio, turning up the music and getting into the rhythm of the weave as a basket takes form.

I make most of my baskets without a mold, and dye my material, so there are always variations in the shapes and colors.

I gather some of my material. Getting out in nature, collecting bark and branches, vines and roots, rushes and sedges adds another dimension to my work.
