Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of the Pottery Place Plus, established in the old Spokane Flour Mill in 1978 and now located in the Liberty Building in back of Aunties Bookstore.

Our customers represent a wide range of Spokane’s local art and fine craft buyers as well as tourists visiting the city.

Openings for new membership are available when one of our members takes a year leave of absence or resigns. The jury is composed of all permanent members who will view photos and samples of your work.

New members start with a Provisional membership for one year with limited voting rights and reduced monthly fees. At the end of this period, you may apply for Permanent membership with full voting rights. Provisional members pay a non-refundable entry fee of $100. Upon acceptance as a Permanent member another $100 fee is charged.

 Full members,  after the first year pay $120 or 20% (whichever is greater) of their gross sales each month.

Each member contributes to the overall running of the shop by serving in one of the following areas:

President,  Vice President,  Secretary,  Treasurer, 

Asst. Treasurer,  Supplies,  Advertising,  New Members, 

Display,   Scheduling,  Historian,  Mentoring,

Cleaning,  Facility Maintenance,  Website.

These jobs change annually and members help according to their interests and abilities.

Each member is responsible for running the shop in a professional manner approximately two days per month.

Shop hours are:

Sunday 11-6PM

Monday 10-6PM

Tuesday - Saturday 10-9PM

The shop is closed  July 4th,  Thanksgiving, Christmas and January 1st.

Trained spouses and approved substitutes may work 50% of a member’s shifts.

VISITING ARTIST  PROGRAM INFORMATION

We now also offer a VISITING ARTIST program on a limited, space available, short term basis. It provides an opportunity to try out the shop for before makiing the monetary and time commitment involved in belonging to the co-op.
The rental agreement for visiting artists is on a month-to-month basis.
